![]() ![]() While sniffing around, I read a newspaper interview with Fleming, framed on the wall, where he talked about his writing process. Before dinner I looked at some of the memorabilia of Fleming's time there, which included his typewriter and the Birds of the West Indies, the book by "James Bond" that gave Fleming the name of his eponymous hero. With a name like that, you won't be surprised to know that the hotel is built around the house where Ian Fleming wrote most of the James Bond books in the 1950's. ![]() A few years ago, I had the good fortune to have dinner at the Goldeneye Hotel in Jamaica.
